Jeff Taylor

Jeff Taylor has over 36 years of roofing experience and built Viking Roofing from the ground up. The idea and spirit of Viking Roofing begins and ends with Jeff’s ideas, thoughts and technical experience to bring the client the best practices and roof performance for a lasting trouble-free roofing system. He has installed, maintained and repaired roofs throughout New England since 1988. He founded Viking Roofing to ensure that his clients receive superior craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Jeff learned roofing and custom metalworking from veterans in the industry. Early on, his father, a professional mechanical contractor, introduced him to sheet metal work and to the ethic of craftsmanship and quality that Jeff has carried with him throughout his life. As a roofer, he added coppersmithing to his skills. He enjoys creating decorative copings, decorative moldings and other custom architectural elements to set off his quality roofs.

A natural talent for managing and training crews, Jeff has mentored and built an impressive team at Viking. A ‘hands-on’ owner, Jeff oversees all on-site operations, transforming client requirements by translating design, techniques, and quality products into solutions that stand the test of time. Every project is driven by safety first, strong work ethics, craftsmanship, professionalism, and meticulous attention to detail providing a superior solution to protect the client’s investment.

Jeff inspires a commitment for quality and integrity, an emphasis on details and aesthetic design utilizing premium products, and a constant commitment to improve not only his knowledge base but that of his crews. Jeff’s high standards puts safety first where he believes that the responsibility of building the roof over one’s head mandates doing it right the first time. Every job, small or large, gets his stamp of approval. Jeff is sought after, not only for new projects and repair, but for his counsel on large and difficult projects.

A life-long resident of Hollis, NH, Jeff is familiar with all the stresses that the New England environment places on the roofs of residences, commercial buildings and historic properties. In particular, his interest in historical renovation is sparked by a desire to preserve classic architecture using old-fashioned materials and methods.

Cindi Owning

Vice President

Co-Owner

Cindi Owning is co-owner and manager of Viking Roofing. She oversees the office, accounting, marketing, client relations and business development functions. All of her past experience has stressed the importance of accuracy, safety and teamwork. She worked in her family’s business, studied accounting and earned her nursing degree, specializing in critical care. A strong work ethic, quality, integrity and professionalism come naturally.
 
“Both Jeff and I are committed to making sure our clients receive superior craftsmanship,” she says. “Our clients get the best of everything: quality service, expert advice and the best materials for the job. We don’t just install roofs; we engineer roofs that withstand the test of time.

 
Cindi emphasizes her role in communicating Viking’s products and services to clients. Among other services she cites Viking’s ability to take on intricate jobs that require expert knowledge. “We also offer maintenance programs that help locate problems before they become catastrophes.” Cindi is concerned to make Viking a green company. She continues to make education and safety a top priority for herself and Viking’s employees, who are always aware of the best and most up-to-date roofing technologies.

 
Cindi is an active member of the community having served as past-president of the Hollis Garden Club and as a former member of the Greater Nashua Habitat for Humanity Board of Directors. Cindi speaks at local clubs and career fairs, promoting consumer education and the role of women in nontraditional careers. 
 
With her strong foundation in management, safety and, above all, client satisfaction, Cindi takes pride in the success and growth of Viking Roofing. “We are always going to be craftsmen,” she asserts. “We give fair assessments and we’re dedicated to a job well-done. Josh Hansen

Estimator/Project Manager

Josh joined Viking in 2003. He is a 2007 graduate of NHTC with an Associate’s Degree in Applied Engineering. His education, along with his organizational skills and practical on-the-line experience, has given him the tools and insight to develop comprehensive, concise and accurate job estimates. 

In his role as estimator and project manager, Josh performs walkthroughs, assists with job scheduling, orders job materials and works within manufacturer’s material warranties to ensure the client receives the best value for their dollars. He is the main contact between general contractors and owner representatives and is in daily communication with on-site foremen to keep abreast of progress and to initiate cost effective, timely solutions that may affect job completion times. He is certified in OSHA 10 and 30, CPR, Rigger Signals, 12,000 lb. heavy terrain forklift, Aerial lift, Telescoping boom lift, OSHA 1926 Construction Fall Protection, 24-Hour Competent Person Fall Protection and OSHA ladder safety trained. He has received RAS and NERCA Foreman 1 training, holds a Massachusetts Unrestricted Construction Supervisor license, a Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor license, and a Massachusetts unrestricted Sheet Metal Journeyman license among other licenses he can list upon request. 

With his 20+ years of combined roofing and estimating experience, Josh is a key member of the leadership team at Viking Roofing.
